Prospective students will be evaluated for admission on an ongoing basis. For priority consideration, however, please apply by March 1st for Fall admission and by August 1st for Spring admission.
Goals
Instruction Goals:
- Provide courses and professional experiences necessary to acquire program development skills, theoretical knowledge, and cultural competence required for program graduates to effectively promote healthy behaviors, and prevent human maladies in rural and underserved populations.
Research Goals:
- Support faculty in collaboration within the university and with community stakeholders in order to provide opportunities to identify effective health promotion programs and to translate research into practice in rural and underserved communities.
Outreach Goals (including internal and external service):
- Facilitate effective, culturally relevant public health initiatives through campus-community partnerships.
